Is your browser supported?

netvibes supports all Firefox version up to 1.0, but we recommend to use the latest version available http://www.mozilla.com

Are you using a firewall?

If you are using a firewall, deactivate it then try to access to netvibes. If you are able to access now, the problem may be your firewall. Alternatively, you could add netvibes.com to your trusted list.

Are you behind a proxy?

If you are a proxy User can you contact your system administrator.

Is cookies enabled?

To check if cookies are enabled:

Is netvibes cookie blocked?

To check if netvibes cookie is not blocked:

If netvibes is on the list, click on it and then Remove site button.

Is javascript activated?

Are you using Firefox addons?

If you are using Firefox addons can you try to deactivate them:

The cross for closing the feed reader disappear under Firefox, is it a bug?

This is not a netvibes bug, but a Firefox one.

To fix this problem:



If netvibes is on the list, remove the link or allow it.


All the links are opened into the same windows as netvibes, how do I configure this?

We found a problem with the Firefox addon: Tab mix plus.

If you use this addon:



Now the links will be open in a new tab or in a new window.


All my module are in a Recycle and found folder. How do I restore my account?

When trying to access your netvibes page and all the modules are in tab called Recycle and found, this is due to a desynchronization with our server.

Do not move any module and use this url: http://www.netvibes.com/?reset_cache=1

Your page will be refresh with all the modules in the correct place.

If you move modules, this url will not work and we will not able to restore the previous organisation.


I've lost my feeds, how do I reinstate them?

When trying to access your netvibes page and all your tabs are empty, this is due to a desynchronization with our server.

Use this url: http://www.netvibes.com/?reset_cache=1
Your page will be refresh with all the modules in the correct place.


I log into netvibes, I can see my account but I still got the Sign In icon on the top right of my page?

If you try to log into netvibes, and if you can see the content of your page but on the top of the page it is like you are not logged, this is just a small problem of desynchronization with our server. Effectively, you as look as though you're not logged on.

Simply access the site with URL: http://www.netvibes.com/?reset_cache=1

Your page is going to be reloaded and you will see your mail address and the Sign Out icon.


Safari is crashing what can I do to solve this problem?

Have you recently added a third-party module into your page?

Have you got an another browser on your computer? If yes can you try to access to netvibes with it, then remove the last module?

If you don't have another browser, as netvibes is loading press the esc key several times until all modules are stuck on loading. When all the modules are stuck, remove the last module.

If you don't know which module is crashing netvibes:


If netvibes is crashing when you open a new tab, the module that is crashing netvibes is here.

Reload netvibes and press the esc key several times until all the modules are stuck on loading in the tab where you found the problem. Now remove the module from the ecosystem.


How to be logged on netvibes each time you access the website?

Can you check the following informations into your browser settings:

Under Mozilla Firefox:

Under Opera

Under Safari

Under Internet Explorer 6

Under Internet Explorer 7


If you are using an another software that is deleting your cookies or clearing your cache each time you leave your browser and/or your computer, please deactivate it.


After adding a website in the Web Page module, my netvibes page keeps loading the website rather than netvibes. How can I restore my page?

This is because the website is using a script that is forcing the page to go outside the netvibes Iframe.
* Go to your browser and paste http://www.netvibes.com?disableIframe=1 * When your netvibes page reloads, go to the Web Page module and either delete the module from your page or use another URL; and
