What is an iCal?

iCal can also refer to iCalendar, the standard calendar format used for calendar data exchange. iCalendar allows users to send the content from their calendar to other users.

How do I add an ICal onto my netvibes page?

This can be done 4 ways:

1- iCal Link

Click Add a Feed, located in the Topbar. Copy & paste the iCal URL in the “Enter a URL (RSS/ATOM or autodiscovery) field. Click Add.


2- iCal from netvibes ecosystem

Go to the netvibes Ecosystem (located at the foot of your netvibes page or at http://eco.netvibes.com) and select the Events tab.

Here, you can do one of 1 of 2 things:


Click on the '+ netvibes' icon and the iCal will download onto your netvibes page.


3- Online iCal Calendars

Online iCal calendars usually provide URL links to themselves. Again, simply copy & paste the URL via the Add a Feed module and Add.


4- Netvibes button

Most websites and blogs already have the netvibes button on it. If you see the button, click it and the RSS Feed or the module will automatically add to your page. If you don’t see a button, write them a note and suggest that they add a netvibes button to make it easier for Users to add their services.

Where do I find an iCal?

iCals can be identified via its red & white square logo. Simply copy & paste the URL via the Add a Feed module and Add.


Who do I contact if there is a problem?

iCal URLs are not hosted on our server, so if an iCal URL does not work there may be a problem with the related website. If in an iCal file there is an error in a description or in a date, please contact the owner of the calendar.
