  2. IP address blocked? Can't connect to Netvibes.com

For the past few days, I have been periodically unable to connect to Netvibes, even though my internet connection is working fine. However, if I use a VPN or connect from somewhere else, I can access Netvibes. This leads me to believe that my IP address is being blocked for some reason. Is there any way to resolve this issue so that I can access Netvibes again? Thank you.

  3. Automatically fire the "refresh" event for all widgets upon tab load

Many of my widgets are collapsed so I can't see the full text / image when I first load a tab (Google Chrome).

But if I click the little "refresh" circle in the upper right of each widget's title bar, the widget displays correctly. If the page could automatically fire the refresh event upon loading, then the widgets would look correct at the beginning.

(By the way, the refresh thing doesn't seem to work in IE 8. There's nothing I can do to get the widgets looking correct there.)

  6. Reinstate image displays in BBC News feed and YouTube feed Apps

Today, after the server update, the BBC News and YouTube apps no longer display an image on the left hand side. Can this be reinstated as it makes a big difference to the display.

  7. Fix feeds issue whereby images are no longer loaded from Flickr

In the last month or so the native feeds widget has stopped loading images from Flickr rss feeds. If I use the classy (black) slideshow with a 500px feed I get images whereas with flickr I now just get placeholders.

  8. Articles I stroll past should be marked as "read."

I shouldn't have to stop on every single article that I don't care about so that NetVibes can mark it as read. This ruins the greatest feature of NetVibes (of the past). I have the same articles showing up over and over and over and over because NetVibes can't figure out that I've scrolled by them because I don't care about them. And I don't have time or inclination to actually pause on each and every article so it can catch up. It used to do this perfectly.

  10. Render Feed text in Html format

The Feed text is rendered in a plain text format, and the content is not at all readable. If the content is in HTML, render it in HTML format and not in text format.

  11. Have a forum for widget/theme developers

There's no forum for widget/theme developers.
It looks like there used to be one, because dev.netvies.com has a link to http://dev.netvibes.com/forum. But that just redirects to the blog.
Why would you not want to encourage communication for developers trying to expand the content on your site?

I'm interested in creating some useful widgets, but the removal of things like this give me the impression that netvibes widget development is dead.

  12. Evernote widget broken, do an official one

There is a third party Evernote widget, but it does not work anymore for a long time. It's a real pity because it was so useful and I believe that many users would like to have it back. I contacted the developer but he has no time to fix it.

  13. Google Scholar Alert Service in Netvibes?

    Dear Netvibes,

I've a question and I hope you'd be able to help with this.

I use Netvibes to manage my RSS feeds from academic journals to get the latest release of articles from journals which I frequently read.

Separately, I use the Google Scholar Alert service to inform me (via email) if there are new articles based on key words related to my field.

I wonder if there is a widget (like an RSS feed) in Netvibes which can inform me about the new articles based on keywords? Something similar to a Google Scholar alert service but inbuilt in…

  14. Adding RSS Feeds

Can you possibly alienate your users more than what you do now?

For all your "functionality", you can't add RSS feeds unless it's from your list of mostly useless feeds, and again, that doesn't seem to work.

You stop feeding feeding certain sites like GQ, than you can't add their direct feed back, the address on their own site.

It is unbelievable that something this basic can't be done.

Typical tech firm that screws it's users over...We get it, you don't care what your users want.

  16. In reader mode mark a feed item as read when opened in a new browser tab with middle click

When I open a feed item in a new browser tab with middle mouse click, then please mark that item as read.

This function correctly works in IE, but not in Chrome or Firefox. CTRL + left click correctly marks it as read in all three browser.
Maybe it is caused by a regression, because it worked two weeks ago.

    Thank you very much!

  17. Can't access www.netvibes.com on iphone 6 Plus / iOS 8

I use the main site (www.netvibes.com). no offense, but I don't like mobile.netvibes.com. But I am now unable to access www.netvibes.com on y iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8 (not sure which might be causing the change). Clicking on the www link at the bottom of the mobile login page just goes right back to mobile.

  19. I'd like to see the unread counter moved to the left of the module title

I'd like to see the unread counter moved to the left of the module title. some thing more like the attached screenshot.

Just seems cleaner. And easier as I browse the page.

    Thanks,
    Perry Lowe
