Netvibes is slowly dying what's the story? Any suggestions on what to move to?
Dassault Systèmes seems to have abandoned all work on netvibes. Google everything is broken. Even the weather app is broken. Emails to support go unanswered. Can't sign up for premium anymore (the link is broken.) Developer program went away with a lot of 3rd party apps a few years back. I wonder how long it will be before the plug is pulled and it goes dark. Given the total lack of communications it will likely go dark with no warning. This makes me very sad.
I hope they'd be able to make it up again.

This would be a very sad news for the internet world. How is it even today?

Things are definitely going downhill. A year or so ago, the only apps available were a few 'essential' apps, which I noted here:
I've been having some apps start to die. I had to re-create one for USA Today. Recently, the CBS News app died. Even more, when I went to create a new one, you can no longer create a multi-tab app. I had to create a whole new tab filled with individual apps for each feed.
As for alternates, I haven't found any that really use something like the app mode. When the USA Today issue started, I recreated it on Inoreader, which is free for basic use, but only has a list mode.

I just signed up for the free version of Netvibes, and I am glad I spent no money. It is clear to me that nobody is monitoring this feedback section as there are a bunch of web advertisements posted that have not been weeded out by a monitor. I'm deleting my account today.
