Format blockquotes to distinguish from regular text

I read blog posts and other material that uses blockquotes (usually indented material quoted from other sources) extensively. Your reader does not distinguish blockquotes from the other material, which makes following the argument -- they said this, I think that -- difficult. I have to leave your reader to see that structure. Too bad.

I just read a long post that alternated quoted material and responses that was impossible to follow in your reader. It shouldn't be that hard to format blockquotes in some way that makes it clear that there are two voices. Other readers do this easily.
